Alumni & University Relations Coordinator
Student Engagement & Career Readiness Coordinator

Location: Greater Nashville area; Hybrid

About Us:

Rock The Street, Wall Street (RTSWS) is the leading organization supporting young women in finance plus STEM-related careers. We achieve this by providing investment literacy programs, mentorship, and access to real-world career opportunities.

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Alumni & University Relations Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing relationships with our alumni network and fostering new connections with colleges and universities, specifically targeting institutions with strong finance programs for young women. This role is key in advancing our mission to support the professional development and career growth of women pursuing finance-related majors. 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Alumni Development and Outreach:
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with alumni to foster engagement, loyalty, and support for the organization’s initiatives.
    • Assist in the design and implementation of initiatives aimed at supporting young women in finance, such as mentorship programs, internship placements, scholarships, and professional development workshops.
    • Promote these programs through outreach efforts at colleges, universities, and within the alumni network.
    • Track and measure the impact of outreach and programming, adjusting strategies as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.
  2. University/College Engagement:
    • Identify and engage with colleges and universities that offer finance and finance related programs with a focus on promoting opportunities for young women in the field.
    • Build and maintain relationships with key college faculty, student organizations, career centers, and relevant departments to create new collaboration opportunities.
    • Work closely with academic institutions to develop pipelines for young women to engage with finance-related internship and career programs.
    • Promote the organization’s mission and resources to students majoring in finance and business computational fields, ensuring they are aware of the programs and benefits available to them.
    • Meet goals to increase registration and engagement on the RTSWS Alumnae and Career Center. 
  3. Reporting & Data Management:
    • Maintain detailed records of alumni engagement and college partnership activities.
    • Track metrics related to program participation, alumni engagement, and college outreach efforts, providing regular updates to leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Communications, Business, Education, or Finance).
  • 5 -10 years of experience in alumni relations, donor development, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of the finance industry and experience with women-focused initiatives is a plus.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proven ability to engage and collaborate with diverse groups, including students, faculty, alumni, and external partners.
  • Highly organized with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Self-motivated with a passion for supporting women in finance and advancing their professional growth.

Additional Skills (Preferred but not Required):

  • Financial services experience
  • Experience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, Raiser’s Edge).
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and strategies for engaging college students and alumni.

Our programming is currently offered in 60+ high schools in 30+ cities across the U.S., U.K., and Canada.

Reports to: Student Learning & Alumni Development Manager

Position Overview

We’re seeking a driven, relationship-oriented Student Engagement & Career Readiness Coordinator to support the career development of our student and alumni community. In this role, you will manage our digital community platform, maintain a job and internship board, and ensure that students have access to timely and relevant career resources. You will also serve as a key connector by cultivating relationships with campus recruiting teams, HR professionals, nonprofit partners, and affinity group leaders who support diverse talent pipelines.

You will take the lead on fostering a vibrant, connected network of high school students, university-aged alumni, and early-career professionals while cultivating strong relationships with industry partners and sponsors.

Key Responsibilities

Community Platform Management

● Manage RTSWS’s online student and alumni community platform to support connection, learning, and resource sharing.

● Oversee and maintain the job and internship board, ensuring postings are current and relevant

● Develop and implement strategies to increase engagement across student and alumni communities.

● Track engagement and usage data, generate monthly reports, and use insights to guide platform improvements

Career Development & Relationship Building

● Cultivate and manage partnerships with early talent recruiters, HR professionals, nonprofit collaborators, and affinity groups that align with RTSWS’s mission

● Serve as a liaison between students and external partners to facilitate job, internship, and mentorship opportunities

● Represent RTSWS to external stakeholders and contribute to partner engagement strategies

Program & Event Coordination

● Plan and execute both virtual and in-person student and alumni programming, including mentoring, workshops, networking events, and panel discussions.

● Support the implementation of career readiness resources and programming within the RTSWS curriculum

● Coordinate logistics, outreach, and follow-up for community programming

Cross-Departmental Collaboration

● Collaborate with program, development, and marketing teams to align community efforts with organizational goals.

● Maintain accurate records and data in Salesforce and other internal systems.

Qualifications & Experience

Required:

● Bachelor’s degree

● Comfort with technology and experience managing digital platforms

● Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM platforms

● Strong written and verbal communication skills

● Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

● Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for community-building

Preferred:

● Experience managing alumni or student engagement programs

● Background in education, nonprofit, early-career recruiting, and virtual event planning

● Familiarity with community management platforms or digital engagement tools

● Experience working with young adults or students

● Experience providing career readiness coaching or guidance, such as resume support, interview preparation, or internship/job search strategies
