Retirement Investment Analyst

The Sacramento County Employees’ Retirement System (SCERS) is a $12.2 billion public pension system with 29,000 members that has provided retirement, disability, and survivor’s benefits since 1941.

SCERS has an excellent entry-level opportunity for a motivated individual with superior customer service, communication and organizational skills. The position is located at 980 9th Street and the work schedule is Monday – Friday 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. *A hybrid schedule may be available.

Duties Can Include:

 Contributes to the implementation and monitoring of the investment portfolio across traditional and non- traditional asset classes, including working with investment staff on the analysis and preparation of investment recommendations, portfolio modeling, asset allocation, manager selection, and oversight of existing managers.

 Monitors portfolios of marketable securities (public equity and fixed income) and non-marketable securities (private markets and hedge funds) to assess
valuations in manager and custodian statements.

 Maintains, reconciles, and monitors exposure, valuation, and performance data within SCERS’ portfolio analytics system.

 Compiles data and prepares investment reports and financial statements; prepares monthly and quarterly portfolio reports, including performance reports.

 Assists with the preparation of investment articles for
SCERS

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Public Administration or other field directly related to the intent of the class.
