We are a Women-Owned, Chatham, NJ based asset management firm seeking a full time Analyst to join our team for a 1yr-18month rotational program. The Analyst will work closely with various departments to learn the ins and outs of the Asset Management business including operations, portfolio management, research, trade execution, compliance, marketing, finance and business development. The Analyst will partake in external client and prospect meetings as well as be exposed to various vendors and industry service providers. At the end of the program the Analyst will work closely with management to find a permanent position internally or externally within the industry via the firm’s partner relationships.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Learn daily trade processing and monitoring ensuring trade accuracy, trade settlement and trade break resolution.
- Learn trade idea generation and the research process, gain understanding of the financial markets across asset classes
- Learn portfolio construction via time spent working with portfolio managers
- Assist operations in client onboarding, generating strategy performance, client reports, and learn the associated systems
- Assist marketing in preparing pitch books and other materials, working with PowerPoint and Excel
- Qualifications and Requirements:
The Analyst position requires the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university (finance, data management, accounting, operations or business preferred)
- Strong technical and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and listening skills
- Attention to detail and good organizational skills
- Professional, team player with the ability to get along well with others
- Experience with PowerPoint and Excel a plus
